Taxpayers say that maybe if the NHS staff experienced what their customers – the taxpayers – experience, maybe they would be willing to work harder to improve their wait times. That is highly doubtful, as long as they are working for the government. There is no incentive to improve on any service. No competition. And the result is mediocrity.

That is the future of our country ... BOHICA. (bend over, here it comes again) ahhhh ... but you're going to love it. That's because you don't think your health care is your responsibility, right? It's everybody else's responsibility.

I have no idea what's up with my pictures unless it has something to do with paid vs non-paid status on LJ because my paid account expired. I'll fix them sometime soon!

I can't get over this:

Our water softener broke down the other day.  It's been churning away in our basement for 13 years now with no problems and it stopped.  My hair is gross, my skin is itchy and the coffee has skin.  It's disgusting!  Anyway, Scotty came and fixed it yesterday and all is well with the world.  It's amazing that with just a few days with hard water all the build up it leaves!  Our water is so hard that if it's not softened, you turn on the faucet and limestone rocks come out.  I'm kidding, but it's close.

I got a black berry yesterday.  I ended up staying with Alltel because their evenings start at 7 instead of 9.  Go me.

I submitted my official proposal for the county yesterday.  I'm still not clear on how the billing will take place, but I think it's going to be a great opportunity for me.

Clayton gets out of school early today and I'm taking the kids to rent some movies. 

That's pretty much it.

You are beautiful, the weather, not so much.  At least it isn't icing here like it is at home.  We have been a bunch of lazy bags.  We've been to the pool a few times and hit up check e cheese's yesterday.  Other than that, we've been laying around watching TV.  I don't care either because I'm tired!

Today we'll head up to the convention center to look at the fire trucks. 

I gotta go, I'm late for laying in the big bed with the kids to watch Dora.

I'm off to the beach this afternoon! If I can get the kids to participate, we might do a video blog on You Tube. :)

Last evening, Mike and I are toiling away at various things and the kids are in the living room watching my new Muppet Show DVD. Um. Steve Martin is totally a special guest star in one of the episodes. Have I mentioned that I luuuuv my hubby?
